SPECIFIC SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
1. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool
may contact hidden wiring or its own cord.
Contact with a “live” wire will make exposed metal
parts of the tool “live” and shock the operator.
acceSSory INStallatIoN
1.
With the shaft lock engaged, loosen the collet nut by hand.
2. Insert accessory.
With the shaft lock engaged, tighten the collet nut until the accessory is gripped
by the collet. Avoid excessive tightening of the collet nut.
3. the collet included with your tool is 1/16" (1.6 mm).
Please make sure that you use the collet
which matches the shank size of the accessory you plan to use.
Note:
Accessories must be rated for at least the RPM of the grinder.
USINg OR ATTAChINg FlEx ShAFT
CAblE :
1. Unscrew and remove collet nut at top of tool
(fig. 2).
2. Pull out enough of the flex square shaft to
allow it to feed into the collet.
3. Press shaft lock button and tighten shaft
into the collet (fig. 1).
4. Screw flex shaft cover onto tool (fig. 3).
5. Install accessory into collet and tighten by
locking shaft with key (fig. 4).
operatIoN
START UP
1. Ensure accessory is securely attached to the
collet before plugging the power cord.
2. Grip tool firmly and rotate power switch to
the ON position.
3. Adjust speed using the speed adjustment
dial located at the rear of the tool.
4. to select the right speed for each job, use a
practice piece of material.
Vary speed to find
the best speed for the accessory you are using
and the job to be done.
Note:
For the majority of applications the mini grinder
should be used at top speed.
hIgh SPEEd USES:
Higher speeds are better for carving, routing
•
shaping or cutting wood.
Hardwoods, metals
and glass require high speed operation. Drilling
should also be performed at high speeds.
Warning! Do not use grinding wheels over 1"
in diameter. the tool’s high speed can cause
larger wheels to fly apart and could cause
injury.
