If the correct blade speed is uncertain, begin with a slow speed.
Stroke length
The length of the stroke is 7/8". The blade is unable to evacuate the debris
produced if the material thickness exceeds 7/8". Therefore, it may be
necessary to clear the blade occasionally when cutting thicker materials.
Simply let go of the trigger and allow the blade to come to a complete stop.
Extract the blade from the cut and the chips should fall away. Insert the
blade into the cut and continue cutting.
Caution: Never extract or insert the blade into work piece with the blade in
motion. Serious personal injury will occur.
Operating tips
Ensure the safety of the workplace. Be sure that the saw blade will not pass
through the bend or saw horse where the work piece is resting. Securely fix
smaller objects, fastening with a vice or clamp to avoid injury. Do not hold
work material by hand.
Avoid blade pinch. Saw blades may become pinched while cutting a work
piece that is improperly supported, very thick, or when several pieces are
loosely stacked. Know how to avoid these situations to minimize risk of
damage to the saw, saw blade or personal injury.
Maintenance
The cordless reciprocating saw will provide hundreds of hours of operation
time before needing service. The electrical components for this saw are not
user serviceable. Have service performed by an authorized service
technician. Warning: Disassembly and improper re-assembly of this device
can result in electrical shock danger.
Keep the saw free from dirt and grease.
Always store in a dry place preferably in the case supplied.
The battery will require periodic recharging, and eventual replacement after
it has exceeded its recharge life (approximately 800-1000 recharge cycles.)
You will notice extended charging times or shortened operation times when
battery experiences more cycles.
Battery must be recycled or disposed of properly.
