10. Dress properly. Avoid loose clothing, neckties, or jewellery that may
become caught in moving parts. Tie back long hair.
11. Warning: Operating this tool has the potential to propel debris into the
air which can cause eye injury. Always wear CSA approved safety
glasses or goggles and a face or dust mask when operating the saw.
Everyday eyeglasses do not provide sufficient protection from debris,
they are NOT safety glasses.
12. Use a clamp or vice to hold the part to be machined. This is safer than
holding it with one hand, and frees both hands to operate the tool.
13. Do not over reach, adopt a stable, balanced position when working.
14. Maintain tools with care. Keep tools sharp and clean for best and safest
performance. Follow instructions for lubricating and changing the
accessories.
15. Disconnect tools before servicing and changing accessories, such as
blades, bits and cutters.
16. Check damaged parts. Before further use of a tool, a guard or any other
damaged part should be inspected to ensure it can still perform it's
intended function. Check for misalignment, binding of moving parts, or
mounting. Any damaged part should be promptly repaired or replaced.
Inspect the saw before use. Run the saw before using to ensure all parts
are running smoothly and there are no abnormal sounds or sparks. Have
the unit serviced immediately if any defect is found.
17. Never leave a running tool unattended. Turn power off, and do not leave
a tool until it comes to a complete stop.
