safety instructions
10. Before cleaning or servicing the charger or battery block, always remove
the power plug from the socket.
11. Never charge the battery block when the ambient temperature is under
10 °C or over 40 °C.
12. The air openings on the charger must always be free of obstruction.
13. The battery block must not be allowed to short-circuit. During a short-
circuit, the current flows at very high intensity. Over-heating, risk of fire
or an exploded battery block may result. This can lead to damage to the
battery block or an increased risk of an accident for the user.
Therefore:
• Do not connect any cables to the poles of the battery block.
• Ensure that no metallic objects (nails, staples, coins, etc.) are in the
battery block receptacle.
• Do not expose the battery block to water or rain.
• Only use the supplied battery block in combination with this battery
operated drill in order to prevent damage to the power tool and
personal injury.
• A battery block that is damaged or no longer chargeable must be
disposed of as special waste. Do not throw it away in ordinary
household waste.
• Never throw the battery block into fire or water. It may explode!
Electrical safety
Always check to see whether the voltage of your battery corresponds
to that given on the rating plate. Also check to see whether the
voltage of your power supply corresponds to the input voltage of the
battery charger.
The battery charger is doubly insulated; therefore, it does not need to
be grounded.
If it becomes necessary to replace the power cable, this must be
carried out by the manufacturer or an authorized representative in
order to prevent safety risks.
