INSTRUCTION MANUAL
Special safety instructions
The machine is supplied with no oil in the engine.
Remember to fill with engine oil before use!
The garden shredder runs on unleaded petrol. You
should therefore never put leaded petrol, diesel or
other fuels in the tank.
Wipe off any spilt petrol with a dry rag after filling
with petrol.
Smoking and use of naked flames during fuelling
should be avoided.
Never fill up with petrol or engine oil while the
shredder is running.
Do not overfill with petrol or oil, as this may cause
a fire risk.
Store flammable materials at a safe distance from
the shredder, as exhaust gases are very hot and
may ignite such materials.
Never start the machine indoors, e.g. in a garage
or shed. Exhaust gases contain carbon monoxide
and hydrocarbons that are highly dangerous to
humans and animals if inhaled.
Never start the shredder without the air filter in
place.
Avoid touching engine components during or
immediately after use. They may be very hot.
Never insert hands, feet or tools into the hopper,
feed chute or discharge chute, and do not peer
into the openings while the shredder is in use.
Always stop the engine and remove the spark plug
cover before making adjustments, and before
placing hands, feet or other objects near moving
parts.
Never direct the discharge chute at people,
animals, cars or buildings.
Never use the garden shredder on a sloping or
hard, slippery surface, as the vibrations could
cause the shredder to travel.
Wear eye protection, ear protectors and gloves
when using the shredder.
Never use metal implements to feed branches and
twigs into the shredder. Use wooden implements
instead.
Never place tools or other objects on top of the
shredder.
Make sure that no foreign objects of metal, stone
or glass, etc. get into the shredder.
Assembly
Get another person to help with assembling the
garden shredder.
Use a clean and flat surface for this.
Remove the components from the packaging.
Lift the actual machine up onto a stable wooden
box.
