Sawing
Adjust mitre angle and bevel angle, if necessary
(see Preparation and adjustment).
Check that the mitre saw is correctly set and that
all handles and screws are correctly tightened
before starting to saw.
Position the item touching the saw table and
guide so that it is stable. Always secure the item to
be worked with clamps or similar. Never use your
hand to keep the item steady.
Press the release latch so that the top of the saw
can be lowered. Depress the on/off button (2) on
the handle (3) and allow the mitre saw to reach
full speed before starting to cut the item.
The blade guard (4) will open automatically when
the blade (5) comes into contact with the item.
Do not try to force the saw to either side.
Release the on/off button immediately if the blade
gets stuck in the item.
Release the on/off button once sawing is complete
and lift the top of the saw to the raised position.
Check that the blade guard closes when the saw is
lifted off the item.
Blade replacement
Raise the top of the saw to the upper position so
that it locks and tilt the blade guard up.
Use the special wrench provided to loosen the lock
nut.
Remove the lock nut, spacer, outer flange and saw
blade. Do not dispose of the blade in your
domestic refuse. Dispose of it correctly in
accordance with local legislation.
Remove any chips or sawdust from around the
spindle and flanges.
Fit the new saw blade. Check that the orientation
of the blade matches the rotation direction of the
motor. Release the blade guard and protective
cover again.
Turn the saw blade manually to check that it does
not catch against any of the other parts even when
set for bevelling.
Cleaning and maintenance
The mitre saw can be cleaned by wiping its external
parts with a damp cloth. Use a brush or
compressed air to remove any chips and dirt from
the saw table and awkward corners.
Never use corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents, as
they may attack the plastic parts of the saw.
Replacing the carbon brushes.
Replace the carbon brushes when they are worn.
Note! Both carbon brushes must be replaced at the
same time.
Tightening nuts
If there is a gap between the top and base of the
saw, you must tighten the nut on the connection
between the top and base. Check that the top can
be raised and lowered freely after tightening.
