6 Transport, packaging and storage
6.1 Transport
Check the delivery immediately on receipt for completeness and
transport damage.
Record the extent of transport damage in the transport documents
or on the delivery note of the forwarding agent.
Complaint periods limited
Claim any damage as soon as it is detected.
Compensation claims can only be submitted within the
applicable complaint periods.
CAUTION!
Improper transport can result in damage!
Improper transport can cause extensive material
damage.
n When unloading the packages upon delivery and during in-
house transport, exercise caution and observe the symbols on
the package.
n Do not remove packaging material until control units are ready
for assembly.
6.2 Packaging
The individual packages have been packed to match the transport
conditions that can be expected.
The packaging has the function of protecting the individual compo-
nents against damage, corrosion, etc. until they are finally fitted.
The packaging material must therefore not be damaged and
should only be removed just before assembly is to take place.
If there is no returns agreement for the packaging, separate mate-
rials according to type and size and direct to further use or recy-
cling.
NOTICE!
Environmental damage caused by incorrect waste
disposal!
Packaging materials are valuable raw materials and
can be sensibly reconditioned and recycled in many
cases.
