IDENTIFICATION OF SAFETY SYMBOLS

WARNING:

Always use a metal shield and dust cup in the order

shown when using blades. Always use a handlebar and shoulder strap.

Ensure handlebar remains installed at all times.

WARNING:

This unit can be dangerous! Careless or improper

use can cause serious injury.

WARNING:

The blade continues to spin after

the trigger is released or engine is turned off. The

coasting blade can throw objects or seriously cut if

accidentally touched. Stop the blade by contacting the

right hand side of the coasting blade with material

already cut.

DANGER:

Blade can thrust violently

away from material it does not cut. Blade

thrust can cause amputation of arms or legs.

Keep people and animals 50 feet (15 meters)

away.

Blade/trimmer line can throw objects vio-

lently. You can be blinded or injured. Al-

ways wear hearing protection and safety

glasses marked Z87. Always wear head

protection, heavy, long pants, long

sleeves, boots and gloves.

Secure hair above shoulder length. Do

not wear jewelry, loose clothing, or

clothing with loosely hanging straps,

ties, tassels, etc. They can be caught in

moving parts.

WARNING:

Read the operator’s manual before use. Failure to

follow instructions could result in serious injury to the operator and/or
