LEADING CODE –
“Esc”. After pressing “Esc”, there will be a block-shaped
blinking cursor in the key-editing area on the same position as the original underlined
blinking cursor. This block-shaped blinking cursor denotes that the program is ready to
convert the next keystroke of function key to the correspondent keyboard-scan-code
into the program buffer. This function key will be represented by proper notation.
RELEASE CODE –
When the content of a key contains “Ctrl”, “Alt” or
“Shift”, the data after it is considered as data input with such function keys kept
pressed until a release code is programmed or at end of the programmed key when the
programmable keyboard is configured to send break codes for scan codes. The release
codes take two bytes each and are input in one of the following forms of “Esc”, “F”,
“Esc”, “Ctrl” ; or “Esc”, “F”, “Esc”, “Alt” ; or “Esc”, “F”, “Esc”, “Lsf”. These release
codes will display in the following forms in the key-editing area: ‘0F0 CTL’, ‘0F0
ALT’ or ‘0F0 LSF’ each representing the release code for the key press of ‘Ctrl’, ‘Alt’
or ‘Shift’ that was entered in the previous part of the scan-code edited key.
