7. Serial ATA connectors 

(7-pin SATA1, SATA2) 

These connectors are for the Serial ATA signal cables for Serial ATA hard disk drives. 

 

 

Install the Windows® 2000 Service Pack 4 or the Windows® XP  Service 

Pack1 or later before using Serial ATA. 

 

8. ATX power connectors (20-pin ATXPWR1) 

The connector is for A TX power   supply plugs. The power supply plugs ar e design ed to fit these 
connectors in only one orient ation. Find the pr oper orient ation and pus h down fir mly until t he 
connectors completely fit.

  Use of a PSU with a higher power output is recommended when 

configuring a system with more power-consuming devices. The 
system may become unstable or may not boot up if the power is 
inadequate. 

y

  Make sure that your power supply unit (PSU) can provide at 

least the minimum power required by your system. See the table 
below for details.
