absolves the manufacturer from all liability.
Stopping the steam generator.
To stop the appliance, turn the steam phase, cleaning product
injection and vacuum switches on the hand grip off (fig. 6); place
the main switch in the O position and unplug from the mains.
Turn the appliance on and off by means of the main switch only
and never by plugging in or unplugging the mains plug.
Never unplug by pulling the power cable
When the cleaning cycle is complete, empty the collection drum
and clean the attachments used.
IMPORTANT.
As with all technical appliances, your steam generator should
always be used according to the instructions.
Do not vacuum up liquids such as cement of flakes of plaster
together with moisture because these could harden inside the
drum and cause encrustations which might result in damaging
irreparably the gear.
The drum must be cleaned often to maintain efficiency and avoid
hygiene problems (unpleasant smells, etc).
Use suitable personal protection when handling the filter (gloves,
masks, etc).
MAINTENANCE
Only maintenance authorised in this booklet may be carried out
by the user. All other operations are prohibited.
Before carrying out maintenance of any kind, unplug the steam
generator from the mains.
The appliance can only be disconnected from the mains by
unplugging it.
When maintenance has been completed, before reconnecting
the steam generator to the mains, check that the panels have
been replaced correctly and fixed using the screws provided.
Removing the wet vacuum head
Unplug the appliance from the mains socket, remove the cover,
disconnect the plug on the control panel, open the plastic hooks
(fig. 10) and remove the head. When replacing the head, make
sure the hooks are firmly in place and that the head fits perfectly
onto the drum itself. An imperfect fit will reduce suction power
considerably.
Cleaning the drum.
Check the material vacuumed up regularly.
Empty the drum before completely full. (fig. 11).
Empty and clean the drum and attachments each time the
appliance is used.
Use suitable personal protection before handling drum (gloves,
mask, suitable clothing).
Avoid knocking the drum against dustbins or similar during
emptying. This could cause distortion or damage leading to air
infiltration during operation.
Dispose of material vacuumed up according to current
legislation.
Cleaning of water tank filters and detergent filters
From time to time the filters placed on the pipe unions filling
the water and detergent tanks must be cleaned (fig. 12)
Cleaning of filter placed at the inlet of the pump
recharging water (mod. 7140).
Remove the panel protecting the pump. Unscrew the rubber
holder from the inlet connector and pull out the filter from its
seat. Clean it and remove any impurities. Reinstall the whole
part and fix the protecting panel with the proper screws. (Fig.
13)
Boiler maintenance
On average, boiler maintenance should be carried out after every
50 hours of operation. If the appliance is used with especially hard
water (> 30°Fr), carry out maintenance more frequently.
1.
Release pressure in the boiler using the steam switch G
with the main switch in the I position.
2.
After allowing the boiler to cool down, unplug from the
mains. Empty the clean water tank and the boiler by
removing the drainage bungs under the appliance (fig. 14).
3.
Replace the bungs and fill the clean water tank with about
6 litres of normal alimentary vinegar. Plug into the mains
and fill the boiler by placing the main switch in the I
position (fig. 5). Unplug from the mains and leave the
vinegar mixture in the boiler for at least 12 hours.
4.
Remove the water tank and boiler drainage bungs (fig. 14)
and drain the contents.
5.
Replace the drainage bungs on the water tank and boiler.
Ensure the water tightness of the latter with Teflon and
tighten with a spanner.
6. Plug into the mains. Bring the clean water up to the correct
level first in the tank then in the boiler by turning the main switch
to the I position (see Turning the steam generator on).
STORAGE
If the appliance is not used for long periods, unplug it from the
mains socket, empty and wash the waste drum and clean the
boiler. Protect parts which might be damaged by dust. Empty the
water and cleaning solution tanks via the relative drainage bungs.
Rinse the cleaning product delivery circuit using clean water.
When used again, check there are no cracks or cuts in the
vacuum and solution/steam emission tubes and attachments.
