4.  THRU-BOLT LOCATIONS FOR WALL MOUNTED UNITS 
 

(Go to Step 5 if units are overhead supported.)  The exact location of thru-bolting is 
included on the custom installation print provided with each product.  A typical 
installation is shown in 

Figure D

. 

A total of twelve (12) 3/4” diameter thru-bolts are required (by others) on centers 
shown.  Remember, integrity of wall must be approved (see No. 1) before installing this 
unit! 
 
 

5.  ATTACHMENT OF OVERHEAD SUPPORTED HOISTS

 

 

(Go to Step 6 if units are wall mounted.)  With Items 1 through 3 verified, the units can 
now be put in place.  Secure four (4) 5/8” diameter high-strength rods provided to the 
structural steel on centers indicated in 

Figure C.  

With the four-(4) rods suspended, lift 

the unit in place as shown.  If a lift is available, the task of hoisting the unit in place is 
easy.  Lay two (2) 2 x 4’s across the lift’s platform side rails.  Place the unit on the 2 x 
4’s and use the hydraulic lift to bring the unit up to the suspended rods (see 

Figure E

). 

If a lift is not available, a block and tackle system will do.  The unit must be positively 
secured to the block and tackle.  Remember, each unit is approximately 240 lbs.  After 
the unit is in place, secure with lockwashers and hex nuts as shown in 

Figure F

.
