Safety
Country-Specific Regulations
The following instructions must be observed when
performing work on the voltage system:
– Each country has its own national standard,
which ensures the safe design and functionality
of safety sockets and safety plugs. The use of
such devices and systems presents a potential
hazard. It is therefore necessary that personnel
have sufficient specialist knowledge and that the
recognised technological rules are observed.
Permitted operating modes
In some countries, e.g. in China
1)
, the charger may
only be operated using a fixed connection (Wallbox
mode). Operation using a household or industrial
electrical outlet (mode 2) is prohibited. Ask your
Porsche partner about country-specific regulations.
Qualification of Personnel
Electrical installation may only be performed by
persons with appropriate electrical/electronic
knowledge and experience (qualified electrician).
These persons must be able to provide proof of the
required specialist knowledge for the installation of
electrical systems and their components through a
passed examination. Improper installation endangers
your own life and that of the electrical system user.
With an improper installation, you risk serious
property damage, e.g. due to fire. In the case of
personal injury and property damage, you are
personally liable, depending on the legal situation.
Requirements of the qualified electrician:
– Ability to select suitable tools, measuring devices
and, if necessary, personal protective equipment
– Ability to evaluate measurement results
– Ability to select electrical installation materials to
ensure the cut-off conditions
– Knowledge of IP codes
– Knowledge about fitting electrical installation
material
– Knowledge of the type of power supply network
(TN, IT and TT system) and the associated
connection conditions (leadless earthing,
protective earthing, necessary additional
measures, etc.)
– Knowledge of the general and special safety and
accident prevention regulations as well as fire
protection measures
– Knowledge of the electrical/electronic
regulations and national regulations.
