Engine Oil Pressure

Gauge

With a warmed-up engine and at a speed of 3000

rpm, the oil pressure should be approx. 3.5 bar.

If the oil pressure drops abruptly and the
warning lights in the instrument panel and in
the on-board computer come on while the
engine is running or while driving:

I>

Immediately stop in a suitable place
and switch engine off.
Measures see "Warning light".

Warning light

The warning light in the instrument panel lights up
when ignition is switched on and must go out when

engine is running.

If the warning lights in the instrument panel
and in the on-board computer come on with
the engine running or while driving:

Immediately stop in a suitable place.

I>

Switch off the engine.

I>

Check whether there is an obvious oil leak on
or under the car.

I>

If no oil leak can be detected:
Measure the oil level using the on-board com-
puter or the oil dipstick

with the engine

idling.
