9.10 Polarity 

In SMV RMS interface, choose Polarity in Function menu. 

The polarity is mainly used for digital voltage/ current transformer in testing polarity. 

 

Check the pointer swing. If it swings to “-”, it indicates the transformer with negative 

polarity; if it swings to “+”, it indicates the transformer positive polarity; if it keeps still, it 

indicates test failed and should check the transformer, test method or the parameter 

settings.
