PROPER USE OF THE PRODUCT
This appliance is intended for home use as a
steam generator as described and in accor-
dance with the instructions provided in this
manual. Please read these instructions care-
fully and keep them, as you may find them
useful in the future.
Polti declines liability for any damage or acci-
dent derived from any use of Vaporetto that
does not conform to the instructions contai-
ned in this booklet.
IMPORTANT
Before leaving our factory all our products are
rigorously tested. Your Vaporetto may con-
tain some residual water in the boiler tank
from the factory testing.
1. PREPARATION FOR USE
1.1 Unscrew the safety cap.
1.2 Fill the boiler tank with
up to 6.5 fl oz (200 ml) of
tap water, using the jug.
1.3 Carefully screw the
safety cap back on,
checking that it is
completely closed.
This operation must always
be carried out when the
boiler has cooled and with
the power cable disconnected from the
mains.
1.4 Connect the cable plug to a grounded
power supply of the correct voltage.
1.5 The “Steam Ready” lamp will turn on. Wait
for the steam ready indicator lamp to go out
(approx. 5 minutes). The appliance is ready
for use.
2. CONNECTION OF ACCESSORIES
2.1 FLEX
To join the flex to the
appliance, bring the arrow
on the flex into line with the
single notch on the
appliance and then rotate
the flex body in the
direction of the arrow, until
it clicks into place.
To release the flex, pull the
little lever above it and
rotate in the opposite
direction from before.
• In turn, the lance can be connected to the
flex and therefore all other accessories sup-
plied.
2.2 LANCE
To attach the lance, bring
the arrow on the lance into
line with the single notch
on the appliance and then
rotate the lance in the
direction of the arrow until
it clicks into place .
The following accessories can be attached to the
lance:
Window-washing accessory,
curved nozzle, round
brushes, spatula and
accessory for grouting.
Simply insert them into the
lance tip and rotate until
they lock into place.
WARNING: if steam is escaping from the sa-
fety cap, switch the appliance off and unplug
it from the mains. Wait for two hour for the
appliance to cool before unscrewing the cap
and screwing it back on.
WARNING: never exceed the maximum boi-
ler fill level of 6.5 fl oz (200 ml); always use
the jug supplied.
It is a good idea to check that the boiler tank is
empty before filling it.
