DRY IRONING :
• Press the iron switch
(2)
, leaving the boiler
switch off (
5
).
• Regulate the iron temperature using the
slider
(7)
to the temperature required by the
fabric (fig.2).
NOTE:
• The iron heating indicator
(11)
and the
steam pressure indicator
(B)
light up and
switch off during operation. This indicates
that the electric heating coils have switched
on to keep the iron temperature and the
boiler pressure constant. This is a normal
occurrence, and it is therefore possible to
continue ironing.
FILLING THE TANK
It is necessary to fill up the tank with water
before it becomes empty. If no steam comes
out when pressing the steam request button,
this means that there is no more water in the
tank.
To keep on working, simply restore the water
level in the self-refilling tank as described in
the “Preparation for use” paragraph.
PUTTING AWAY THE
APPLIANCE
Make sure the appliance has cooled down
completely before putting it away.
• Position the monotube (
8
) and the power
supply cable
(9)
in the appropriate storage
spaces (
8a
) (fig.5).
• Carry the Vaporella by its convenient carry
handle (
4
) (fig.5).
ATTENTION:
before moving Vaporella with
the handle, make sure that the power supply
cable (
9
) and monotube (
8
) have been stored
as described previously.
KALSTOP
Water by its nature contains magnesium, mi-
neral salts and other deposits which in hard
water areas can contribute to limescale build
up in the tank. In very hard water areas we re-
commend the use of our KALSTOP FP2003,
a special natural-base decalcifier which inhi-
bits and breaks down limescale. This is a pre-
ventive against scale build-up and protects
the metal walls of the boiler. KALSTOP
FP2003 can be found in small appliance sto-
res, Polti service centres and on the web site
www.polti.com
CARE OF YOUR VAPORELLA
•
Before attempting any maintenance
operation, always disconnect the ap-
pliance from the mains.
• To clean the body of the appliance, simply
use a moist cloth. Do not use solvents or
detergents which may harm the body mate-
rial.
CLEANING THE BOILER
• To maintain optimum performance, clean
the boiler every 10/20 uses depending on
the amount of limestone in the water.
• Disconnect the appliance and let it cool
down for at least 2 hours.
• Empty the water tank to prevent leakage.
• Turn the appliance upside-down and use
the hexagon wrench (
13
) to unscrew the
boiler cap (
12
) on the bottom of the ap-
pliance (fig.7).
• Use the funnel (
14
) to pour 0,25 litre of cold
water into the boiler.
CAUTION: do not pour more than the
specified amount of water into the boi-
ler. Pour water slowly, being careful not
to let it overflow, as this could damage
the appliance (fig.8).
• Rinse out the boiler and pour the water
away into the sink or into a container for
