XP4 1000 Service Manual

Lift the cover from the housing and remove the
thermostat.

NOTE: Thermostat has a pop-off relief to allow
the bypass system to operate until thermostat
opens.

Install a new thermostat with the bleed hole

positioned closest to the engine.

NOTE:

Image shown above is with engine

removed for clarity.

10. Reverse this procedure for installation. Torque

thermostat cover bolts to specification.

Thermostat Cover Bolts:

7 ft-lb (10 Nm)

11. Be sure to properly fill and bleed cooling system as

outlined in this chapter.
