ENGINE

Install the two mag side flange bolts and torque to
specification.

Chain Guide/Tensioner Installation

Install the chain guide and tighten the mounting bolt to
specified torque.

Crankshaft, Balance Shaft and Starter Drive

Gear Installation

Install woodruff keys on the balancer shaft and crankshaft.

Install and align the marks of the balance shaft gear and the
crankshaft gear as shown.

Install the oil pump drive sprocket, washer and slotted nut
onto the balance shaft.

Using Slotted Nut Socket PA-47344, tighten the nut to the
specified torque.

Crankcase Bolt Torque:

14 - 15 ft. lbs. (19-21 Nm)

Crankcase Sealant

Chain Guide Bolt Torque:

5-6.5 ft. lbs. (7-9 Nm)

Balance Shaft Slotted Nut Torque:
