2.11

TRANSMISSION LUBRICATION

The transmission lubricant level should be checked and
changed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

• Be sure vehicle is level before proceeding.

• Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and

unobstructed.

To change / check transmission fluid:

Place a drain pan beneath oil pan and remove drain plug
from the crankcase. Allow oil to drain completely.

Reinstall the drain plug. Tighten to specification.

Add the proper amount of lubricant to bring level into
operating range as shown. Do not over fill.

Verify fluid level is correct and no leaks are present

FRONT GEARCASE LUBRICATION (4X4
ONLY)

The front gearcase lubricant level should be checked and
changed in accordance with the maintenance schedule.

• Be sure vehicle is level before proceeding.

• Check vent hose to be sure it is routed properly and

unobstructed.

Oil Level Check

Position the vehicle on a level surface.

Remove the check/fill plug (A) and view the oil level. The
oil level should be at the bottom of the check plug (B)
threads.

Reinstall the check/fill plug (A). Torque to specification.

Reinstall the check plug (A) and a new sealing washer.
Torque to specification.
