5-3-a Using NetBEUI Protocol and PS Port
1. From the Start button, select Settings and then Printers. Double-click on
the Add Printer icon. Now, select My Computer and click on the Next
button.

6. Refer to the user’s manual of your printer and select the manufacturer and
printer in the two lists.
To enable the print server in a WindowsNT network, you need to:
1. Enable PS Port or LPR port on WindowsNT, and
2. Configure the client PCs that share the driver.
In this scheme, WindowsNT spools all print jobs (print data) first and
manage them accordingly. For this reason, users can issue print requests
anytime without worrying about the printing status of the print server itself.
