Command Usage
> You can mirror traffic from any source port to a destination port for real-time
analysis. You can then attach a logic analyzer or RMON probe to the destina-
tion port and study the traffic crossing the source port in a completely unobtru-
sive manner.
> The destination port is set by specifying an Ethernet interface.
> You can create only one port mirror session.
> The source and destination ports have to be either both in the port range 1-12
or both in the port range 13-24.
Example
The following example configures the switch to mirror all packets from port 6 to
port 11:
Console(config)#interface ethernet 1/11
Console(config-if)#port monitor ethernet 1/6 both
Console(config-if)#
