Preparation
Before attempting to configure your router, please ensure that:
* Your PC can establish a physical connection to the Broadband Router. The PC and the
Broadband Router must be directly connected (using the switch ports on the router)
or on the same LAN segment.
* Your router must be installed and powered ON.
* If your router's default IP Address (192.168.0.1) is already used by another device,
the other device must be turned OFF until router is allocated a new IP Address during
configuration.
Connecting to your Router
To establish a connection from your PC to the XRT C series router:
1. After installing the Broadband Router in your LAN, start your PC. If your PC is already
running, restart it.
2. Start your WEB browser.
3. In the Address bar of your web browser, enter "http://” and the IP Address of
your router, as in this example, which uses router's default IP Address:
http://
192.168.0.1
4. By default settings, there is NO password at the first time logon. For security reasons
it is recommended that you input a password as soon as possible.
5. After logging in, machine main menu page screen will appear. This Home Page is di-
vided into four sections, Quick Setup Wizard, General Setup, Status Information and
Tools, and provides all configurable functionalities in XRT C series router.
6. Here we’ll take you a tour of the main function on router’s main page, and illustrate
how to establish your first Internet access in a very short time via Quick Setup Wiz-
ard. More detail introductions and advanced configuration tips can be found on the
user’s manual.
Quick Setup Wizard
The Quick Setup Wizard section will lead you step by step for your Internet access
General Setup
More advanced features offered in PLANET XRT C series will be introduced in this menu,
and you may modify these parameters to meet the applications or network environment
on your side. Meanwhile, Internet access related parameters configured in General Setup
section, will take effect, as General Setup/WAN and the Quick Setup Wizard contain the
same configurations.
