System Log Configuration
4.26.2 Event Configuration
You can select the system log events. When selected events occur, the system will send out the log
information. Also, per port log events can be selected.

System event selection:
4 selections - Device cold start, Power status, SNMP Authentication
Failure, and Redundant ring topology change. Mark the checkbox to select the event. When selected
events occur, the system will produce the logs.

Device cold start:
when the device executes cold start action, the system will produce a log
message.
¾
Power status:
when the device power status has changed, the system will produce a log
message.
¾
SNMP Authentication Failure:
when the SNMP authentication fails, the system will produce a
log message.

Redundant Ring topology change:
when the redundant ring topology has changed, the
system will produce a log message.

Port event selection:
select the per port events. Per port has 3 selections - Link UP, Link Down, and
Link UP & Link Down. Disable means no event is selected.

Link UP:
the system will produce a log message when port connection is up only.
¾
Link Down:
the system will produce a log message when port connection is down only.
¾
Link UP & Link Down:
the system will produce a log message when port connection is up and
down.
