User Manual of FRT-405N

Chapter 3. Connecting to the Router

3.1 System Requirements



Broadband Internet Access Service (FTTH connection)



PCs with a working Ethernet Adapter and an Ethernet cable with RJ-45 connectors



PC of subscribers running Windows 98/ME, NT4.0, 2000/XP, Windows Vista / Win 7, MAC OS 9 or
later, Linux, UNIX or other platform compatible with

TCP/IP

protocols



The above PC is installed with Web browser

1. The Router in the following instructions is named as PLANET FRT-405N

2. It is recommended to use Internet Explore 7.0 or above to access the Router.

3.2 Installing the Router

Please connect the device to your computer as follows:



Locate the FRT-405N in an optimum place and adjust the antenna for the best coverage.

Figure 3-1

shows the antenna connection diagram.
