3.6.6 Aging Time
When the Switch learns a new MAC address, it will be added to the dynamic MAC address table and a relative timer will be
generated immediately. If no packet taking the MAC address as its source passes through the Switch in a specified time
length, that MAC address will be purged from the MAC address table. This process is called
"aging"
, and the specified time
length referred above is called
"aging time"
. The aging time ranges from 0 to 3825 seconds; the default value is 300
seconds. Dynamic address table entry won’t age if 0 is set. The aging time precision is 15 seconds. The screen in
