Gigabit Content Security Router User’s Manual
Protocol Binding
Users can define specific IP addresses or specific application service ports to go through a user-assigned
WAN for external connections. For any other unassigned IP addresses and services, WAN load balancing will
still be carried out.
"
Note
In the load balance mode of Assigned Routing, the first WAN (WAN1) cannot be assigned. It is to be
saved for the IP addresses and the application Service Ports that are not assigned to other WANs
(WAN2, WAN3, and WAN4) for external connections. In other words, the first WAN (WAN1) cannot
be configured with the Protocol Binding rule. This is to avoid a condition where all WANs are
assigned to specific Intranet IP or Service Ports and destination IP, no more WAN ports will be
available for other IP addresses and Service Ports.
