Flow rate indicated on motor label is obtained with a 13mm internal hose diameter. Inferior diam-
eters will increase current with potential overheating risk.
For a correct flow direction as showed by arrow label on the pump always connect the positive
pole of the battery to the positive marked terminal (+) on the motor end-cap and negative pole to
negative marked (-) terminal. Electrical connections has to be made by using only suitable terminal
blocks and connectors which can ensure tight fitment of the electrical cables. Bad wire can cause
power losses and or overheating of the cabling itself.
WARNING!
Installation technician are responsible for ensuring a correct designed circuit according
to regulations. Environmental risks must be taken into account while installing system.
11 TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEMS SOLUTIONS
THE PUMP DOES
NOT START OR
STOPS
check:
• effectiveness of power supply
• the fuse had blown
• debris in the pump gear drives. Disconnect the power supply and
unscrew fixing, remove pump front cover plate and inspect pump cham-
ber. Mount cover plate in the same initial position.
• Long period running dry.
• overheating
• switch position “on”.
PUMP DOES NOT
PRIME ITSELF
Motor runs but the
pump does not prime
itself
Check:
• the pump is fitted over 1.3mtr above the fuel level.
• The pump has run dry for too long period.
• Inactivity long period. In this case it is necessary to add liquid directly
into the pump chamber before start-up. It is also useful adding before
running the pump a drop of lubricating oil inside the pump.
• Air leak in the suction pipe due to: cuts in the pipe, wrong hose
clamps, worn filters or clogged filter.
• Air leak at the pump front plate due to: loose fixing screws, poor seals.
• Obstruction in the suction or delivery pipes.
