Example of Connection Using a DVD/LD or LD player
Make sure you connect your DVD/LD or LD players using the AC-3 RF jack and a coaxial or optical jack. If your
player has an AC-3 RF output, this will ensure you can play back AC-3 RF signals. See p.34 for details.

Be sure to make either a digital coaxial or digital optical connection (pictured as DIGITAL-1 jack or
DIGITAL-3 jack in this diagram) as well. You do not need, however, to make both. Also, be sure to
assign the jacks to the proper component(s) with the “Digital-In Select” procedure (see p.34).
