TROUBLESHOOTING
FRONT / CENTER SPEAKERS
SYMPTOM
PROBABLE CAUSE
REMEDY
1. No power is being supplied
(Indicator does not light up when
power switch is turned on.)
•
Power supply plug is not correctly
inserted.
•
No power at wall outlet.
•
Insert plug securely.
•
Turn other power switches on to make
power available.
2. No sound
(Power indicator is ON.)
•
Connection of speaker or accessory RCA
cord is wrong or disconnected.
•
LEVEL knob is set to MIN.
•
Check again and connect correctly.
•
Turn clockwise slowly.
3. Sound is distorted.
•
Subwoofer level is too large.
•
Input level is too large.
•
Turn the LEVEL knob counter-clockwise
to lower the level.
•
Turn the amplifier’s output level (volume,
bass control, bass boost) to lower the
level.
4. Howling noise occurs.
•
Power supply to amplifier or speaker
switch is turned off.
• Subwoofer level is set too high.
•
Connect power supply to amplifier and
turn speaker switch on.
•
Place the subwoofer a good distance from
speaker. Turn the LEVEL knob counter-
clockwise to lower volume.

1. No sound
• Bad speaker wire or connection
• Receiver is off
• Volume control is at zero
• Connect correctly or replace wire
• Turn on receiver
• Slowly turn up volume
2. Sound is distorted
• Extreme signal condition
• Turn down the amplifier’s output level
(volume, bass control, bass boost) to
lower the level.
• Shut off the system for 5-10 minutes and
allow the protection device to reset.
• Extreme signal condition for extended
period of time
3. Speakers stop producing sound
suddenly
