Cassette tapes

A loose, torn or warped label on a cassette
tape can jam the cassette player. Do not
use cassette tapes with loose, torn or
warped labels.
!
Cassette tapes longer than C-90 (90-minute
tapes) can cause the tape to jam in the cas-
sette player. Do not use tapes longer than
C-90.
!
Cassette tapes exposed to high tempera-
tures may warp and jam the cassette
player. Keep cassettes out of direct sunlight
or places where there are high tempera-
tures.
!
Store unused tapes in a tape case where
there is no danger of them becoming
loose, dirty or dusty.
Cleaning the playback head
If the head becomes dirty, the sound quality
will get bad and there will be sound dropouts
and other problems. If you have any of these
problems the head may need cleaning.
Music search and repeat
functions during tape
playback
Music search and repeat functions may not
work with these tapes:
!
A tape with a gap of 4 seconds or less be-
tween songs
!
A tape containing dialog or other non-musi-
cal content, with pauses lasting 4 seconds
or longer
!
A tape with an extremely quiet passage in
the music lasting for 4 seconds or long-
er
