Automatic playback of DVDs
When a DVD disc with DVD menu is inserted,
this unit will cancel the DVD menu automati-
cally and start playback from the first chapter
of the first title.

Some DVDs may not operate properly. If
this function is not fully operated, turn this
function off and start playback.

Press AUTO PLAY to turn automatic
playback on.
A PLAY:ON
is displayed.

Displaying text information
When the video output is set to off in the initial
setting menu (refer to
Setting the display con-
nection on or off
on page 37), the text informa-
tion of the currently playing disc will appear
on this unit. You can switch the text informa-
tion.

When the video output is set to on in the in-
itial setting menu and an separately sold
display is connected to this unit, the text in-
formation appears on the display (refer to
Switching the information display
on page
24). The elapsed playing time is displayed
on this unit and you cannot switch the text
information.

When Ever Scroll is set to ON at the initial set-
ting, text information scrolls continuously in

Selecting titles from the title list
When the separately sold display is connected
to this unit, the listed information will appear
on it.
Title list lets you see the list of titles on a disc
and select one of them to play back.
