Connecting video and
audio cables
Note
• Make the settings in the
Setup Navigator

Connecting a TV using a
video/audio cable
Caution
• Connect the player’s video output directly to
your TV.

Note
• Video signals a r e out p ut with a r esolution of 480/60i
when connected using a video cable.
• When connected to the TV using a com p onent video
cable, video signals a r e not out p ut with a r esolution of
1080/24 p o r 1080/60 p .
• De p ending on the out p ut video r esolution setting, the
p ictu r e may not be out p ut ( p age 22).
Connecting an AV receiver or
amplifier using audio cables
When connecting to a 7.1-channel compatible AV
receiver or amplifier
– Connect using 4 audio cables
(diag r am below).
When connecting to a 5.1-channel compatible AV
receiver or amplifier
– Connect using 3 audio cables (do
not connect to the su rr ound back left and r ight
te r minals).
• To switch the video f r om the AV r eceive r o r am p lifie r ,
also connect the video out p ut te r minals.
• Afte r connecting, set Audio Output Mode to Multi-
channel ( p age 38).

• To connect to the 2-channel audio in

minals on
a TV, etc., connect to FRONT (L/R) .
Connecting components
to the USB port
The data downloaded with the BD-LIVE function and the
data used with the BONUSVIEW function when
p laying
BD-ROMs can be sto r ed on a device connected to the
