Connecting the System

the

position

f

your

vehicle's

reversing

lamp

(the

o

ne

that

lights

u

p

when

the

gearstick

is

in

reverse

[R])

and

find

the

reversing

lamp

+

side

lead

in

the

trunk.

PARKING BRAKE

Used

to

detect

the

ON/OFF

status

of

the

parking

brake.

This

lead

must

be

connected

to

the

power

supply

side

of

the

parking

brake

swich.

If

this

connection

is

made

incorr

ectly

or

omitted,

certain

functions

of

your

navigation

system

will

be

unusable.

Clamp

needle-nosed

pliers.

Close

the

cover

Pass

the

extension

cord

and

the

lead

for

the

speed

detection

circuit

through

this

hole.

When

combining

this

mobile

navigation

unit

with

a

Pioneer

vehicle

stereo,

if

the

vehicle

stereo

has

yellow/black

leads

(MUTE),

connect

them

to

those

leads.

This

way

when

the

guidance

audio

is

output

and

when

you

operate

the

system

by

voice,

the

vehicle

stereo

is

automatically

muted

to

reduce

the

vehicle

stereo

volume.

detect

the

distance

vehicle

travels.

connect

the

vehicle's

speed

detection

Failure

to

make

this

connection

will

increase

errors

in

the

location

display

.

so

that

the

mobile

navigation

system

can

detect

whether

the

vehicle

is

moving

forwards

or

backwards.
