The following steps will confirm at least one strong path to the Ethernet connected Gateway or router
6. Download and launch the AirTies WiFi app to your mobile device or iPad.
Allow up to 1 minute for the app to locate the active AP device and mesh links. Connect to the
AirTies wireless Network on your mobile device and enter the password located on the bottom of the
primary AP (the one plugged into the Gateway/router). You will receive an email that includes an
activation code. Navigate to
My Network
to establish the speed and signal strength for each mesh
link.
7. Adjust the AP locations until each APs upstream and downstream path to the primary AP exceeds
500Mbps. If a 500Mbps path is not achievable, connect the relay (2
nd
or additional) AP and primary
APs with Cat5/6 cable to deliver significantly higher throughput versus WiFi.
NOTE: APs must first be linked wirelessly in a mesh network prior to connecting them with Cat
5/6 cable.
8. Navigate to
My Wi-Fi Settings
to set the desired SSID and password for the Wi-Fi network which uses a
single SSID for both 2.4 and 5GHz networks.
10. Navigate to
Application Settings > Service Settings
to check (enable) the remote monitoring feature.
