When connecting the wires on the harness, follow the wiring diagram and the sequence below.
1. Before connecting any wires, the negative (-) battery terminal should be disconnected.
2. When connecting the wires on the harness, follow the wiring diagram and connect them as in the diagram.
3. For proper lamp operation it is recommended that you connect the positive (+) and negative (-) power supply wires
directly to the corresponding battery terminals. Do not take power directly from the alternator.
4. Find a power source to connect the switch power wire to. For legal operation of driving lights in most regions of
North America this power source must be one that is only powered (+) when the high beam of the headlamps is on.
To make this connection use the supplied connector or any connector that is suitable for this application. The easiest
place to get the high beam switch power is directly off the back side of the driver’s side headlight. The headlight bulb
connector has 3 wires. The positive high-beam wire is the white/green wire.
5. Do not connect lights to turn signals or to lights that flash with an automotive alarm.
6. When running the wires through the engine compartment be sure to keep them securely away from moving parts
such as the fan and the throttle cable and away from hot parts such as the exhaust manifold.
7. When the wiring is complete, test the system for operation. Do this by turning on the system. If the system works, securely
fasten the relay box or tie it out of the way with wire ties. If the system does not come on, please contact your PIAA dealer.
1. Unplug and remove the factory lights, or bezel from the bumper
of the truck as seen in picture 1. You will have to push in the plastic
spring hook on the factory aiming setup to push the light out of the
factory mounting holes.
2. Assemble the mounting hardware as instructed. Take the 5mm hex bolt
and apply the supplied 5mm washer and then the 3/8th bonded washer.
As shown in picture 2.
3. When assembled, install the lamp and bracket into the factory wholes
in the bumper shown in picture 3. Be careful as to not scratch the
bumper with the lamp screws when installing.
4. Do not tighten the lamps all the way until the lights are wired. You will
need to adjust the light for aiming.
5. When the PIAA bracket is securely fastened use supplied wiring
diagram to properly wire your PIAA lamps. (see pages 4 and 5)
6. After wiring your PIAA lamps in, properly aim your lights. (see page 7)
7. Fasten lights securely after aiming.
