The default boot source for the i.MX 8M Plus module phyBOARD-Pollux is eMMC. But for the

Booting from eMMC
To boot from eMMC, make sure that the BSP image is flashed correctly to the flash. On DIP switch S1, all positions need to be set to off.
The following boot sequence can be seen:
