music line input
Connect a CD
player, cassette
recorder, or other
line level source here

Ω
for nominal level.

mix/rec out
Connect a recording device
to your unit here with a
stereo RCA cable (not sup-
plied). The jacks are internally
paralleled and carry the output signal
of the built-in mixer with the volume
and EQ settings you made. The output
voltage at nominal level is 0.5 V into
200
Ω
source impedance.
wired mic input
Balanced female XLR
connector accepts a
wired microphone
(optional) via a standard microphone
cable with a male XLR connector.
Provides 12 V phantom power for
dynamic, electret, or condenser
microphones. Input sensitivity for
nominal level is 2 mV into 1 k
Ω
.
Pin 1 is ground, pin 2 “hot”
(inphase), pin 3 return.

operating notes
•
For optimum coverage and
intelligibility, place the speaker
as high as possible using a stand.
It should be clearly visible from
each seat or standing area, and
not obstructed by people
or objects.
•
To avoid feedback (whistling/
howling), have the presenter
stand behind the speaker, and
never point the microphone
element directly at the speaker.
If feedback occurs anyway, turn
down the volume until it stops.
