Maintenance and servicing
The controller is maintenance-free.
11.2
Device replacement
The controller can be replaced as required.
•
Replace the controller in your application with an identical controller (same order num-
ber).
If you want to replace a controller, follow the steps described in Section 4, “Mounting hard-
ware” and Section 10, “Removing hardware”.

Once replaced, restore all the necessary connections.
Observe the following when replacing a controller (
BootP server
):
If you want to use the BootP server to assign the IP address settings of the controller, enter
the MAC address and IP address of the controller in the PC Worx (Express) software.
Refer to the information in Section "BootP server" on page 52.
If you operate the controller with the SD card as the main memory:
All application-specific data (WebVisit projects, PC Worx projects, IP settings, etc.) is
stored on the SD card. When the SD card is inserted in the new controller, this data is im-
mediately available after the controller initialization phase.
