manufacturers or that Philips does not specifically
recommend. If you use such accessories or parts,
your guarantee becomes invalid.

- Use the Care Infusion Covers within 3 months
after opening their packaging.

This Philips appliance complies with all applicable standards and regulations
regarding exposure to electromagnetic fields.
How to use the ActiveProtect straightener
Always remove the heat-resistant cap before you let the appliance heat up.
Note: Remove all packaging material from the appliance before you start using it.
1 If you want to use the straightener with the covers, attach the covers
carefully onto both heating plates. Only attach the covers when the
appliance is switched off and cold.
You can also use the appliance without the covers. However, to get the
best results, we advise you to use the straightener with the covers.
Only use the straightener on clean and dry hair without a leave-in product.
Note: Always check if the covers are properly attached onto the heating plates,
before heating up the appliance.

2 Put the plug in the wall socket.
3 Press and hold the on/off button for two seconds to switch on
the appliance.
The ‘
Mid
’ temperature setting starts flashing. When both covers are
attached correctly, the ‘
care
’ indicator lights up.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is plugged in.
Always put the appliance on a heat-resistant surface when it is heating up
and when it is hot.
4 Press the temperature control button repeatedly to select the
desired temperature setting.
After about 15 seconds, the selected temperature setting stops flashing and
the straightener is ready for use.
Caution: Do not use the straightener before it has reached the set
temperature.
