CAUTIONS

device handling

The HeartStart was designed to be sturdy
and reliable for many different use
conditions. However, handling the
HeartStart too roughly can damage it or its
accessories and will invalidate the warranty.
Additionally, handling a damaged
HeartStart could cause injury to yourself or
the patient. Check the HeartStart and
accessories regularly for damage, according
to directions. Avoid directly handling the
HeartStart or its accessories if they have

been in contact with body  fluids from the
patient. Such substances could contain
infectious material causing  the spread of
harmful diseases. Refer to this manual’s
section on cleaning the  HeartStart after a
use if necessary.

HeartStart or cause it to function
improperly. Maintain the HeartStart
