PHILIPS LIMITED WARRANTY
NINETY (90) DAY
WARRANTY COVERAGE:
PHILIPS warra n ty obli g atio n is li m ited to the ter m s set f orth
below.
WHO IS COVERED:
Philips warra n ts the prod u ct to the ori g i n al p u rchaser or the per-
so n receivi ng the prod u ct as a g i f t a g ai n st de f ects i n m aterials a n d
work m a n ship as based o n the date o f ori g i n al p u rchase
(“Warra n ty Period”) f ro m a n A u thorized Dealer. The ori g i n al
sales receipt showi ng the prod u ct n a m e a n d the p u rchase date
f ro m a n a u thorized retailer is co n sidered s u ch proo f .
WHAT IS COVERED:
The Philips warra n ty covers n ew prod u cts i f a de f ect i n m aterial
or work m a n ship occ u rs a n d a valid clai m is received by Philips
withi n the Warra n ty Period. At its optio n , Philips will either (1)
repair the prod u ct at n o char g e, u si ng n ew or re fu rbished
replace m e n t parts, or (2) excha ng e the prod u ct with a prod u ct
that is n ew or which has bee n m a nuf act u red f ro m n ew, or ser-
viceable u sed parts a n d is at least fun ctio n ally eq u ivale n t or m ost
co m parable to the ori g i n al prod u ct i n Philips c u rre n t i n ve n tory,
or (3) re fun d the ori g i n al p u rchase price o f the prod u ct.
Philips warra n ts replace m e n t prod u cts or parts provided un der
this warra n ty a g ai n st de f ects i n m aterials a n d work m a n ship f ro m
the date o f the replace m e n t or repair f or n i n ety (90) days or f or
the re m ai n i ng portio n o f the ori g i n al prod u ct’s warra n ty,
whichever provides lo ng er covera g e f or yo u . Whe n a prod u ct or
part is excha ng ed, a n y replace m e n t ite m beco m es yo u r property
a n d the replaced ite m beco m es Philips’ property. Whe n a re fun d
is g ive n , yo u r prod u ct beco m es Philips’ property.
Note: Any product sold and identified as refurbished or
renewed carries a ninety (90) day limited warranty.
Replacement product can only be sent if all warranty
requirements are met. Failure to follow all requirements
can result in delay.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED - EXCLUSIONS AND LIMI-
TATIONS:
This Li m ited Warra n ty applies o n ly to the n ew prod u cts m a nu -
f act u red by or f or Philips that ca n be ide n ti f ied by the trade m ark,
trade n a m e, or lo g o a ff ixed to it. This Li m ited Warra n ty does n ot
apply to a n y n o n -Philips hardware prod u ct or a n y so f tware, eve n
i f packa g ed or sold with the prod u ct. No n -Philips m a nuf act u rers,
s u ppliers, or p u blishers m ay provide a separate warra n ty f or their
ow n prod u cts packa g ed with the b un dled prod u ct.
Philips is n ot liable f or a n y da m a g e to or loss o f a n y pro g ra m s,
data, or other i nf or m atio n stored o n a n y m edia co n tai n ed withi n
the prod u ct, or a n y n o n -Philips prod u ct or part n ot covered by
this warra n ty. Recovery or rei n stallatio n o f pro g ra m s, data or
other i nf or m atio n is n ot covered un der this Li m ited Warra n ty.
This warra n ty does n ot apply (a) to da m a g e ca u sed by accide n t,
ab u se, m is u se, n e g lect, m isapplicatio n , or n o n -Philips prod u ct, (b)
to da m a g e ca u sed by service per f or m ed by a n yo n e other tha n
Philips or Philips A u thorized Service Locatio n , (c) to a prod u ct or
a part that has bee n m odi f ied witho u t the writte n per m issio n o f
Philips, or (d) i f a n y Philips serial num ber has bee n re m oved or
de f aced, or (e) prod u ct, accessories or co n s um ables sold “AS IS”
witho u t warra n ty o f a n y ki n d by i n cl u di ng re fu rbished Philips
prod u ct sold “AS IS” by so m e retailers.
This Limited Warranty does not cover:
• Shippi ng char g es to ret u r n de f ective prod u ct to Philips.
• Labor char g es f or i n stallatio n or set u p o f the prod u ct, adj u st-
m e n t o f c u sto m er co n trols o n the prod u ct, a n d i n stallatio n or
repair o f a n te nn a/si gn al so u rce syste m s o u tside o f the prod u ct.
• Prod u ct repair a n d/or part replace m e n t beca u se o f i m proper
i n stallatio n or m ai n te n a n ce, co nn ectio n s to i m proper volta g e
s u pply, power li n e s u r g e, li g ht n i ng da m a g e, retai n ed i m a g es or
scree n m arki ng s res u lti ng f ro m viewi ng f ixed statio n ary co n -
te n t f or exte n ded periods, prod u ct cos m etic appeara n ce ite m s
d u e to n or m al wear a n d tear, un a u thorized repair or other
ca u se n ot withi n the co n trol o f Philips.

f or lost data or lost so f tware.
• Da m a g e f ro m m isha n dled ship m e n ts or tra n sit accide n ts whe n
ret u r n i ng prod u ct to Philips.
• A prod u ct that req u ires m odi f icatio n or adaptatio n to e n able
it to operate i n a n y co un try other tha n the co un try f or which
it was desi gn ed, m a nuf act u red, approved a n d/or a u thorized, or
repair o f prod u cts da m a g ed by these m odi f icatio n s.
• A prod u ct u sed f or co mm ercial or i n stit u tio n al p u rposes
(i n cl u di ng b u t n ot li m ited to re n tal p u rposes).
• Prod u ct lost i n ship m e n t a n d n o si gn at u re veri f icatio n receipt
ca n be provided.
• Fail u re to operate per Ow n er’s Ma nu al.
