Problem
Tip
Cannot play back MP3/WAV/AAC/
FLAC files from a disc.
Make sure that the disc was recorded in the ISO9660 or JOLIET format.
Refer to “Recommended Specifications” on page 20
Cannot find a JPEG file.
Make sure that the selected group (folder) does not contain more than 10,001
files for Blu-ray Disc™, DVD, CD, and USB storage device.
Make sure that the file extension is .jpg.
Cannot find an MP3 and WAV, AAC,
and FLAC Audio file.
Make sure that the selected group (folder) does not contain more than 10,001
files for DVD-R, CD-RW/-R, and USB storage device.
Make sure that the file extension is .mp3 for MP3, and .wav for WAV, and .m4a for
AAC, and .flac for FLAC.
Cannot play back AVCHD file.
This unit cannot play back standalone AVCHD files (*.m2ts, *.mts or *.m2t) written
to a DVD. The DVD containing AVCHD files must have a proper file and folder
structure meeting AVCHD format specifications.
Please use AVCHD compliant device / software to burn or copy AVCHD
files to DVD. (Please refer to user manuals of the device / software for more
information.)
Cannot find an mp4 and MPEG2
video file.
Make sure that the selected group (folder) does not contain more than 10,001
files for USB storage device.
Make sure that the file extension is .mp4 / .mov for MP4, and .mpg / .mpeg /
.m2ts / .mts / .ts for MPEG2.
Cannot connect to the network.
Check if the network connection is properly made.
Turn on the modem or router.
Check the network settings.
Check if the router and/or modem is correctly connected.
Check the BD-Live™ setting in “BD-Live Internet Access” on page 40.
When connecting directly to a modem via a LAN cable, you might need to power
cycle the modem to reset settings on the modem.
Turn Off this unit and the modem/router (if it has a Power button), then unplug
their AC Power cords. After 30 seconds, plug them back in and turn the devices
back On. If you have a telephone / Internet modem with your cable service, then
you may have to use its reset button or remove the backup battery to reset this
type of modem. Now wait for the lights to show activity and try reconnecting.
Cannot use the Wireless LAN
connection.
Once you have activated the Wireless LAN connection, please wait for 30
seconds for the connection to be established after turning on the unit, before
trying to access network features such as BD-Live™, Netflix, and YouTube™.
With Netflix, 4K titles are not
displayed, or 4K images are not
output correctly during playback.
Images may not be output correctly after changing the 4K60p Output setting. In
this case, turn Off the unit, then turn it back On.
Cannot connect to the network while
my PC is connected to the network.
Check the content of your Internet service contract to see if your Internet Service
Provider prevents multiple terminals connecting at the same time.
The capacity of the USB storage
device decreased.
Data may be written to the USB storage device when a BD-video that supports
the virtual package is used and a USB storage device is connected.
The contents of the USB storage
device cannot be read.
The USB storage device is not compatible or the contents on the USB storage
device may be damaged.
Turn off and then turn the unit on again.
Cannot use the BD-Live™ function or
download of data does not perform
properly.
Insert a USB storage device with enough capacity (1GB or more).
Check if a USB storage device is correctly inserted.
Cannot play back BD-video (BDROM
Profile 2.0).
Insert a USB storage device (1GB or more) which is formatted on this unit. Some
discs with BD-Live™ function require memory when playing back the content.
Do not remove the USB storage device during playback.
YouTube™ videos do not play
correctly.
Performance of this unit may decrease due to defects in video sources. In such
cases, turn the unit Off and turn it back On, then play a YouTube™ video again.
