However
, when the control knob is pulled
forward
,TO ‘START’ the LONG curved starter spring (
FIG .6
23
) is also moved, which in turn touches the floppy
driver
(FIG 9 127
) on the CONTROL DISC . The nose
of the floppy
driver
[
127]
touches the
cam D (fig.8
) under the platen teeth on the main shaft, which gives
the CONTROL disc an
impulse
. This
impulse
is just sufficient to cause the
teeth
of the main shaft to grip
in the
teeth
of the control disc , as a result of which it starts to rotate. It may happen that the MOTOR is
switched on when the MOTOR is started, after which the CONTROL DISC
will remain standing
. In this
case one has switched
too quickly
and the taker jumps back without being hit by the cam on the main
shaft. In this case,
one will have to go again
There are
two ways
to close the start switch;
first
by lifting
the pick-up arm by hand (hand-operated and
secondly
by using the
starter lever
.When in case of automatic operation the pick-up
arm raises, the switch remains closed, but the spring-loaded
system is lifted all the way up so that the pickup arm can be
switched off, but when the CONTROL KNOB is pulled/PUSHED
forward, the
starter spring
is also actuated (FIG 6 23) and In
turn, the spring drives the drive device (fig 9 127) onto the
disk as the nose of the drive device [127] contacts the cam (D
Fig. 8) of the main axis, which gives the drive a
pulse
. This
impulse
is just enough to make the
teeth
of the main exe
bite into those of the control disc
which then starts to
spin.It may happen that when starting the motor is well engaged,
but that the drive disc remains immobile, which means that we
have operated too quickly the drive device returns without
having been touched by a cam of the main axis. In this case it
is necessary to restart the start.
The
control disc
is the
heart
of the disc changer: it controls all movements and a single
rotation.
The CONTROL disc is the
heart
of the changer, so that all movements are controlled
in one revolution
.

The best way can be followed by turning the turntable
by hand
in the correct direction (i.e. to the
