3. Taking into operation
This sounder has a maximum sound level exceeding 130 dB (A) at 1m. Protective equipment
must be worn during test conducted in close proximity to the sounder.
For safety reasons a minimum distance of 5m must be observed to.
The acoustic alarm may only be connected to the electricity supply by a suitably authorized person. Prior to connection it must be en-
sured that no voltage is applied to the power cord. The terminal has to be detached before connecting the device to the power supply.

6. Maintenance Instructions
The sounder does not require any special maintenance. External cleaning should be done with a mild soap solution without the
use of solvents.
The sounder may only be operated in the undamaged state within the specified rating. Conversions, alterations, improper and
inadmissible use as well as the non-observance of the notes in these operating instructions shall render the warranty null and
void. Components may be replaced only by original spare parts. As a matter of principle, repairs are to be carried out in the man-
ufacturing works.
