User’s Guide

Troubleshooting Guide

Symptom

Problem Cause

Remedy

The sewing machine 
does not operate.

The machine is not 
turned on.

Turn on the machine.

The needle breaks

The needle was 
installed incorrectly.

Install the needle 
correctly.

The needle clamp 
screw is loose.

Use the screwdriver 
to fi rmly tighten the 
screw.

The fabric is pulled 
too much.

Lightly guide the 
fabric.

The upper thread 
tension is too tight.

Loosen the upper 
thread tension.

An incorrect bobbin is 
used.

Use only a bobbin 
designed specifi cally 
for this machine.

The upper thread 
breaks

The needle is bent or 
blunt.

Replace the needle.

The upper thread 
tension is too tight.

Loosen the upper

Bobbin thread does 
not wind neatly on the
