The current understanding in modern occupational health and safety is that people in nursing professions
experience significant work-related physical strain. Back injuries are common. There are many situations in which a
patient has to be transferred from a bed, a wheeled stretcher, ambulance stretcher, an X-Ray table or a wheelchair
to a different stretcher or seat. The strain on the user and the patient / care-dependent can be reduced significantly
through the use of sliding mats.
The Leg Support is part of a product range with a wide range of possible applications. This product is used in
particular when transferring seated patients in hospitals and other health care facilities as well as home care settings.
The product may only be used for the specified purpose and under the specified conditions.
The information in this user manual is for the patient who is being transferred and moved, as well as the user
performing the transfer / position change.
