The Transport won’t function, and the display is dark
• The unit is in standby. Press the standby button.
• The transport isn’t plugged into the AC mains or the main power
switch isn’t turned on.
• The wall socket, adapter, or extension cord is faulty.
• There’s a tripped circuit breaker or blown fuse in the wall outlet’s
circuit.
• A fuse is blown in your transport (contact your Perreaux dealer).
The display is lit, but there is no output
• The proper input isn’t selected on your preamplifier.
• The interconnecting cables are connected incorrectly or are faulty.
The display reads “NO DISC”
• There is no disc loaded for the transport to read.
• The disc is upside down and therefore cannot be read.
• The disc has loaded improperly and cannot be read – eject the disc and
try again.
Troubleshooting
A disc inserted into the Transport won’t play
• The disc is inserted upside down.
• The disc format is not compatible.
When a disc is playing, the sound “skips”
• The disc is severely scratched or dirty.
• The Transport is on an unstable surface or is too close to your speakers.
The remote control doesn’t operate the Transport
• The remote control is at the wrong angle relative to the Transport, and it
can’t receive the signal.
• The sensor window on the front panel of the Transport is dirty or blocked.
• The remote control’s projection lens is dirty.
• The IR input on the rear panel has something plugged into it.
• Fluorescent lighting or sunlight is interfering with the operation of the
remote control.
• The remote control’s battery is weak and needs to be replaced.
• The remote control’s battery is installed incorrectly.
In general, refer any service problems to your Perreaux dealer. Before contacting your dealer, however, check to see if the problem is listed here. If it is, try the
suggested solutions. If none of these solves the problem, contact your Perreaux dealer.
