DanGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture!
• Pull out the mains plug from the wall socket before cleaning the coffee
maker.
• The coffee maker, the power cable and the mains plug
must not be
immersed in water or other liquids.
DanGER! Risk of injury through scalding!
• Allow the coffee maker and its accessories to cool down before cleaning.
WaRnInG! Risk of material damage!
• Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
After every use
1. Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
2. Allow all parts to cool down.
3. Open the lid.
4. Lift up the handle of the filter basket, remove the filter basket, and dis-
pose the used filter or empty the permanent filter.
5. Rinse the filter basket and if necessary the permanent filter with warm
water.
6. Clean the glass pot and its lid with a little mild detergent. Remove any
residues from inside the glass pot.
7. Wipe down the coffee maker and the power cable with a damp cloth
when required. Dry with a dry cloth.
8. Allow all parts to dry completely before you put them away or use the
device again.
Descaling
After some time, the boiling process will result in limescale being depos-
ited in parts of the coffee maker (depending on the hardness of the water
used). You should remove these at regular intervals, because otherwise the
power consumption of the device will increase and the quality of the coffee
prepared will decrease.
1. Turn off the coffee maker and allow it to cool down completely.
2. Place the descaling agent into the water tank. Use a liquid, environmen-
tally friendly descaling agent based on citric acid, and follow the instruc-
tions of the manufacturer.
3. Fill the water tank up to the top marking

4. Place the glass pot onto the hotplate.
