Dual channel monitors
It is possible to set up different P.U. Cut-off temperatures for channel 1 and channel 2 on dual
channel monitors. With
P.U. ON CHANNEL 2
it is possible to turn off the P.U. calculation on
channel 2. with buttons marked YES and No for your reply.
23.3 TEMPLATE SET-UP
A template is a stored record of an ideal pasteurising run made when everything is operating
correctly. Subsequent recorded runs are compared with the template and the degree of fit is
calculated. A recorded run can also be printed as a graph superimposed on a template. Many
templates can be stored and can be given a name or other identification. When templates are
being used there will be extra items on the results page to show you which template is selected
and how well it compares to the current run. The channel 1 trace on the graph is printed with a
grey shaded area around it that shows the deviation (if any!) between the trace of the template
and the current run. Any other active channels are also compared with the template but the
deviation is not shown on the graph to avoid too many confusing traces.

2. OPEN TEMPLATE ACCESS
In order to select a template first some templates must be recorded. When choosing
OPEN TEMPLATE ACCESS
from the template menu you will be asked the question
TEMPLATE RECORDING?
with YES and No buttons for your reply.
Template recording takes place when the monitor is in normal use not during
configuration. Open template access allows the operator to select templates in the
settings section. The basic settings menu will show an extra item for setting templates.
This also allows the operator to print out a template directory, which is a list of all
available templates with their names and dates of recording. The template selection
menu in the settings section shows all the recorded templates with their names.
Stepping through this menu the operator can then choose the template to use for
comparison with the recorded files in the monitor. Once the operator has chosen a
template it will remain in force for each subsequent print run until changed. It is not
necessary to re-select the template at the start of each print run.
3. FIXED TEMPLATE allows you to select the template in the configuration section. The
template, once chosen, can only be changed by returning to the configuration section. In
this case there are no extra settings or choices that need to be made by the operator
during day to day running.
